It has been a while since our last blog post and so much has happened in the world since then. But one thing remains the same, and it’s nice to have something to depend on, isn’t it? Bright STAR Physical Therapy is still here and we have been helping people all this time.
What newcomers might be surprised to know is that physical therapy doesn’t just consist of a therapist helping you do stretches and exercises, as represented in this funny little graphic. It’s what people usually think of when they think of physical therapy. But at our practice, which has three different locations, we offer a lot of different services in order to create a personal solution for our patients’ conditions, including:
- the Schroth method to treat scoliosis
- biofeedback to treat urinary incontinence and pelvic pain
- lite-gait therapy with pediatric electrical stimulation in the treatment of many pediatric neurological disorders
- Pilates with children in general as well as children with sensory disorders and autism
- aquatic therapy
The most important thing about Bright STAR is our dedication to our patients. We (Masha Katz and Savina Kollmorgen) started this practice because we both love what we do, especially in pediatrics, the one on one care, the highest standards of care possible. We carried that over to the treatment of our adult patients as well. We strongly encourage continuing education and always try new, research-based approaches in the treatment of all patients. We do what is necessary for our patients to succeed.
